This Saturday March 19 afternoon the representatives of the Swedish wine club Munskänkarna have officially opened the “Priorat Wine Region 2016”. Mr. Ricard Rofes, member of the board of the Priorat Qualified Designation of Origin, has received the official prize from the Munskänkarna president, Mrs. Ylva Sundkvist. The official Opening event has been held in Castell del Vi, in Falset.
On Friday 18 the representatives of Munskänkarna visited some DOQ Priorat villages and wineries in order to get a close approach to its landscapes, vineyards and terroir. The group also visited the Scala Dei Chartusian monastery.
This official Opening has started a huge programme of events planned over the different local chapters of Munskänkarna all around Sweden, Finland and other countries. The club has 25.000 members all around the world.
