Now on sale is the second edition of the successful wine guide, Vinologue Priorat which was a finalist for “Best Wine Book in the World” at the prestigious Gourmand Awards in 2014.  This second edition was officially released during the 20th edition of the Fira del Vi in Falset and, as with the previous edition was published in both English and Catalan editions.  It saw a large increase in size to now be 480 pages in length and is the most complete guide in existence for all the cellars and wines within the DOQ Priorat.

The book includes revised profiles for 114 producers of wine as well as tasting notes for 380 individual wines.  With this new edition and with all Vinologue guides going forward, the wines were tasting via a tasting panel of professional sommeliers that evaluated all the wines fully blind during February, 2015 to include complete scoring for every wine.

This book is a complementary companion to the Vinologue Montsant guide as well, which is the other denomination of origin within the county of Priorat and was released last year with praise from the website of Master of Wine, JancisRobinson.

The collection of Vinologue guides was created in 2007 by Californian, Miquel Hudin with the objective to offer practical travel guides that focus on wine regions around the world.  Written for both wine enthusiasts and experts alike the books are for those who want to delve deeply into a specific region by making wine and the people who make it the destination of the trip.

The second edition of Vinologue Priorat has a retail price of 23€ and can be found at the online shop of Vinologue, the cellars and shops within the county of Priorat, and bookshops throughout Catalonia.  For those interested in selling the book in their establishment, Altaïr is responsible for distribution within Spain.
